Hello there.

My name is Dennis L. Duncan, Jr. Welcome to my portfolio site, which showcases many of the design projects I’ve completed for myself and others over the years.

I got my start in graphic design back in the 90s, illustrating some of my favorite video game and cartoon characters in Microsoft Paint. I would go on to develop my skills in college, with a strong emphasis on Adobe Illustrator and various video editing programs. I have earned an Associates in Visual Communications, and a Bachelor’s in Interactive Media Design. While I have never held a graphic design position, I have done freelance design work for over two decades.

After several years of maintaining this portfolio website, I have made the decision to make Design by Den official. This is in part a way for me to combat the ever-growing threat of generative artificial intelligence (A.I.) that steals from real artists to regurgitate its own designs - often with uncanny results. What makes matters worse is how A.I. “artists” are profiting off this theft with a simple prompt. This is where my tagline “Creativity, unprompted” stems from. Anything you get from me is designed by me, sometimes starting with good old pen and paper.
